Description

This property is a Oil and Gasoline Recovery facility that also has wastewater treatment capabilities. Currently only has a Nonhazardous and Special Waste permits and an Air Permit. These are lifetime permits. The RCRA Part B Permits have lapsed and will have to be renewed to accept hazardous waste. There are two buildings located on the property and two tank farms. The oil and gasoline tank farm will have to be replaced, certified, and permitted in order to utilize that part of the plant.. There are three 40,000 gallon tanks in the oil and gas tank farm. The water tank farm consists of two 138,000 gallon tanks, one 20,000 gallon tank, two 10,000 gallon tanks and a 3000 gallon polypropylene sulfuric acid tank for pH adjustment. All the water tanks are mild carbon construction that have been epoxy coated on the inside and outside of the tanks. The outside of the tanks has 3 inches of polyurethane insulation on the steel tanks and a corrugated stainless steel wrap that is covering the polyurethane insulation.The tanks have been set up, built and have the capacity to be heated. Stainless steel heat exchangers have been installed inside the tanks. The piping and valves and pump heads have all been replaced with stainless steel piping, valves and pump heads. All piping is heat traced, insulated and wrapped. There are safety showers located at various areas around the plant. The piping associated with the safety showers is also heat traced, insulated and wrapped also. This heating capability is only required to be used during the coldest part of the winter. There are four unloading pads for the trucks. The small building has a small reception area, three offices and a restroom on the second floor. The first floor is occupied by pumps, piping and valves and filters for loading and unloading on the oil and gasoline side of the plant. The large building has a number of bays in it. The first bay has two electrical overhead doors and is a maintenance garage with two bays with a storage mezzanine above one of the bays, The second bay has an electrical overhead door and a fire prevention and water main supply bay consisting of the main water supply, water meters and an Ansul AFFF foam fire suppression system. System is low on the Ansul AFFF and will need to be topped off if flammable materials are to stored in the building, water supply for the sprinkler system and a small laboratory. the third bay has an overhead door and is the old boiler room which has been removed and converted to another small laboratory and in a separate room, the control room and electrical supply room. The electrical vault is fire protected with a Halon system. All fire protection systems are in working order. The forth bay has two overhead doors and it was the old processing equipment bay. It currently has equipment and a waste water treatment system in it. It was set up for lab pack depack and bulking as well. Also has a safety shower in this bay. I have the sewer discharge permit renewal, filled out, signed by a P.E. and all the analytical necessary ready to submit. Just need to sign off on it, get it notarized and sent to the MWRD. We have never had a problem with the sewer district. Our discharge was always well within our permit discharge parameters. We have a clean bill of health letter from the IEPA on all the soils and ground water at the facility. Please contact me if you have any questions regarding the facility / property.
